Oklahoma State's softball team posted its third consecutive run-rule win on Tuesday, defeating Panhandle State, 15-0, at Cowgirl Stadium.
It took a couple of innings for the Cowgirls to get the bats going but once they did there was no looking back. OSU took a one-run lead in the bottom of the second on a RBI single from Lacy Darity.
Four more runs scored in the third and the Cowgirls lit up the scoreboard in the fourth, plating 10 runs off nine hits and one error by the Lady Aggies.
The assault continued as Megan Carey hit OSU's first triple of the season and Tara Jeffery went yard to up the Cowgirls lead to 11-0. Two runs and five batters later, Stephanie Nicholson capped the inning with the Cowgirls third long ball of the frame.
Jessica Hoppock allowed just six Lady Aggies to reach base, scattering three hits, walking one and striking out seven. The sophomore is now 2-2 on the season.
