Cowgirl Softball Wins Two In Las Vegas

Jennie Killman went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a home run for the Cowgirls in game one. The Yukon, Okla., native put Oklahoma State on the board with a RBI double in the second inning.
Shanel Scott gave the Cowgirls some breathing room in the third, scoring on a RBI single from Courtney Totte.
Oregon evened the score with a two-run homer in the fourth, but Killman lifted the Cowgirls to victory with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh. The home run was the first of the sophomore's career.
Marjorie Johnson struck out 11 in the win against the Ducks, allowing two runs off five hits and three walks.
Game two was scoreless until UNLV broke the standstill in the bottom of the fifth, scoring on a RBI single from Marissa Nicholson.
OSU's offense was quiet until loading the bases in the sixth inning but Tara Jeffery popped up to UNLV's shortstop to end the frame.
The Cowgirls put together another rally in the seventh and this time they didn't come away empty-handed.
Jennie Killman led off the frame with a double then scored the game-tying run on a base hit from Lacy Darity. A Rebel error allowed Stephanie Nicholson to reach safely and sent Shianne Cruce home. Courtney Totte then gave the Cowgirls a 4-1 lead, lacing a single through the left side of the defense to bring in two runs.
Johnson posted her fifth double-digit strikeout game in seven appearances, fanning 12 UNLV batters and allowing one run off three hits and three walks.
Oklahoma State returns to action on Tuesday, hosting OCU for a 5 p.m. contest.
