Equestrian Extends Regional Point Lead After Pair of Home Shows

At Saturday's show OSU set a personal team record by scoring 46 points. Texas A&M was the next closest competitor with 31 points. Sophomore was the High Point Rider. The Florida native placed first in her divisions of Fences and Flat.
“The weekend went very well,” said assistant coach . “We set a personal record on Saturday with 46 points. It is the highest score I have seen in awhile. We are very proud of it.”
The Cowgirls also had three Reserve High Point Riders. Senior , junior and sophomore Michelle Woolshlager all won their section of Fences.
Seniors Kerrie Kehr and Amanda Yancey, sophomores and , juniors and and freshman all picked up wins for the Cowgirls on Saturday.
OSU won Sunday's show by edging out Texas A&M by three points.
Senior picked up a win in her division of fences. It was the second win of the weekend for Snider. Teammates freshman and sophomore also picked up wins in their divisions.
The Cowgirls also picked up four wins in the Flat competition. Sophomore won her second title of the weekend and freshmen , Sam Collingsworth and won their sections in the Flat competition.
OSU also fared well in the Walk-Trot competition. Senior Amanda Yancey and freshman both won individual titles.
Oklahoma State now leads Texas A&M by 21 points in the region.
“We extended our lead with two show to go,” said Flaig. “This weekend gets us further to our goal of the team being represented at the IHSA National Championships.”
Oklahoma State will next be in action on January 28-29 in College Station, Texas.
