Head Softball Coach Rebenar Honored at Banquet

Oklahoma State's head softball coach was recently honored at the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Banquet in Orlando, Fla.

Rebenar was among 175 coaches who reached milestone victories last season when she won her 500th career game. LSU's Yvette Girouard and Bloomsburg's Jan Hutchinson were both honored for their 1,000th victories at the banquet held Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.

Rebenar took over the Oklahoma State program in 2002 as a head coach and has since guided the Cowgirls to 130-90 career record and two NCAA regional appearances. Rebenar compiled a 400-213 record as an associate head coach from 1993 to 2001.

Oklahoma State will open the softball season Feb. 10-12 at the Campbell/Cartier Classic in San Diego, Calif. OSU opens the home portion of its schedule on Feb. 14 against Northeastern Oklahoma.
