November 09, 2005 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
The Pokes are ranked 26th in the country and fourth in the region. Twelfth-ranked Kansas is ranked first in the region. No. 18 Minnesota and No. 20 Iowa round out the top three. Loyola (Illinois) University is currently unranked and is fifth in the region.
Junior Joe Gray has been the Cowboy's top runner all year and looks to lead the Pokes to a high finish in Saturday's meet and their third-straight berth in the NCAA Championships. Also running for the Cowboys will be senior Sean McCabe, junior Mike Devenport, sophomores David Jankowski, Alejandro Ruiz, and freshmen Ryan Vail and Matt Barnes-Smith.
The men's race will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. at the University of Iowa's Ashton Cross Country Course.
