Cowgirl Golfers finish seventh at The Derby Invitational

Host-school Auburn won the team title by one stroke over top-ranked Duke. Georgia finished third, while Virginia and Tennessee rounded out the top-five teams. OSU tied South Carolina for seventh at 909, three strokes back of Florida in sixth place.
Karr and freshman Pernilla Lindberg tied for 16th place individually with a three-day score of 225. Underwood made a huge leap, moving from 51st to 28th with Sunday's round. Freshman Karin Kinnerud finished tied for 44th with a 231, while senior Kyla Welsh finished tied for 80th.
The Cowgirls will finish out the fall portion of their schedule when they compete in the 2005 Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship, Nov. 11-13, at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey in the Hills, Fla.
