Harmison led Butler in every statistical category hitting .375 with 14 home runs and 46 RBIs. Her numbers ranked among the league leaders in the Jayhawk West Conference. She was also a perfect 29-for-29 on stolen base attempts.
In addition to playing softball, Harmison was a sprinter for the track team where she ran in the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash.
Before attending Butler County, Harmison was a prep star at White City High School in White City, Kan. She was a standout basketball player as well as the state runner-up in the long jump. She also finished third at state in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the 200-meter dash. Her high school success earned her Wendy's High School Heisman Award for the state of Kansas.
“Jenna is an excellent addition to our outfield,” head coach Margaret Rebenar said. “She brings experience and leadership and her athletic ability will be a big asset to our lineup.”
