Cowboys Perform Well in Lawrence

McCabe finished in second-place in the one-mile run with a time of 4:17.58 to lead four Cowboy runners in the top 10. Freshman Alejandro Ruiz finished fourth with a time of 4:19.66, sophomore Tyler Campbell finished sixth, and sophomore Joe Gray finished ninth. Also in that event, freshman Brian Gosnell and sophomore Chris Stoves finished 14th and 27th, respectively.
The Cowboys also finished four runners in the top 10 in the 3000-meter run. Freshman Ryan Vail finished second to lead Oklahoma State, freshman Chris Lewis finished sixth, and senior J.R. Lake and junior Luke Sigle finished seventh and10th, respectively.
Terry Josserand, a sophomore transfer from Bethany College, ran with a time of 1:12.72 in the 600-yard run to finish third. Junior Justin Nobles finished 18th and David Foster finished 20th.
In the 400-meter dash, junior Kent Mennem finished 27th and freshman Aaron Rivera finished 31st. Mennem and Rivera also competed in the 60-meter dash, finishing 71st and 79th, respectively. Also in that event, Josserand finished 49th, Foster finished with a time of 7.72, and Nobles finished with a time of 7.77.
The Cowboys continue indoor action next weekend at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. The two-day event begins on Friday, February 4th.
