OSU Equestrian hosts Auburn

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State's Equestrian team will compete in its first match of the semester when the Cowgirls host Auburn in a head-to-head competition Saturday, January 29. The meet will be in a different format from the regular collegiate style, having the schools showcase their top riders in both disciplines of the sport. Riders from both the Western and English teams will compete.
The Western team will compete in two different categories. This style of riding includes a horsemanship event as well as reigning.
The English team will compete in three events. Hunter seat, equitation on the flat and hunter seat equitation over fences will be included in this area.
“I'm excited to host this format in Stillwater,” said OSU Coach Larry Sanchez . “It provides our spectators with a good opportunity to come out and see the best of both teams.”
The competition begins at 1 p.m. at the Animal Science Arena. Admission is free.
