Cowboys Compete at Razorback Invitational

Gosnell, a freshman from Tahlequah, Okla., finished with a time of 8:53.87 to lead four Cowboys in the top 20. Junior Sean McCabe, junior Luke Sigle and freshman Chris Lewis finished 12th, 14th, and 16th respectively.
In the 400 meter dash, sophomore Terry Josserand finished 29th to lead all Cowboy runners. Junior Justin Nobles finished 42nd while sophomore David Foster placed 43rd.
The Cowboys placed five runners in the top 20 in the one mile run. Sophomore David Jankowski finished 11th with a time of 4:13.06 while sophomore David Pomies ran for a time of 4:13.48 to finish 12th. Sophomore Brian Ehlis finished 15th, while sophomore Joe Gray and freshman Alejandro Ruiz finished 18th and 19th respectively.
“We had some guys run really well today,” Cowboys' head coach Dick Weis said. “It always takes young guys more time to improve, but I feel that at the rate we are going, we will be running exceptionally well by outdoor season.”
The Cowboys continue action next weekend at the Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, Kan. The two day event is being hosted by the University of Kansas and will begin Friday, January 28. Starting time is to be announced.
