Cowgirl Softball Shuts Out Conners State, 12-0

Three Cowgirl pitchers; Jessica Hoppock, Randi Cook and Marjorie Johnson, allowed just five hits in 12 innings. Hoppock struck out eight, Cook seven and Johnson seven.
The Cowgirls scored two in the third, three in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh.
OSU plated both of its runs in the sixth after connecting for four consecutive hits with two outs. Nicholson led off with a triple and Dominique Van Nortwick brought her in with a double. Shianne Cruce doubled and Lauren Kitchens brought pinch-runner Jennifer Vines home with the final hit of the frame.
Carey plated the final run of the game with a double in the seventh inning.
