Darrent Williams had 215 return yards and D'Juan Woods caught two touchdown passes for the Cowboys (3-0), who routed the Mustangs (0-3) for the third straight year.
Southern Methodist lost its 15th straight game dating back to the start of last season. The Mustangs have the nation's second longest losing streak, one behind Army.
Oklahoma State, which has not turned the ball over this year, benefited from five Mustangs' giveaways and Williams' long returns to start short drives deep in SMU territory.
Williams' 47-yard punt return to the Mustangs 38 set up Morency's 16-yard TD that made it 21-0. Williams picked up Matt Rushbrook's fumble at the 25 and weaved 53 yards to the 22, leading to a field goal for 24-0 in the second quarter.
Donovan Woods, who was 5-for-16 for 93 yards coming in, connected with his brother, D'Juan, for a 14-yard TD and with freshman Prentiss Elliott for a score from 43 yards in the third quarter.
Donovan Woods finished 6-for-11 for 99 yards. D'Juan Woods caught his first four passes of the season for 42 yards, and the Cowboys started 3-0 for just the fourth time since 1987.
Chris Phillips was 12-for-19 for 97 yards for the Mustangs but his first quarter interception led to Oklahoma State's first score, Donovan Woods' 1-yard run.
Phillips also ran for 52 yards on 12 carries as his draws and keepers were the only offense the Mustangs could muster early. But he was replaced in the second half, first by Tony Eckert, then by Jerad Romo.
Romo took a quarterback keeper untouched 59 yards late in the third quarter for SMU's only score. Oklahoma State led 31-0 at halftime.
