Cowboy Cross Country Takes Gold Classic

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State's men's cross country team started the season in dominant fashion this weekend at the 56th Annual JK Gold Classic in Augusta Kan.
The Cowboys finished in first place, followed by host Wichita State, Friends University, Pratt Community College, and Bethel College.
In individual results, Nathan Wadsworth of Wichita State, running unattached, took first-place. Trey Vernon, also running unattached, and redshirt freshman John Dixon of Oklahoma State rounded out the top three. Three other Cowboys finished in the top 10. Freshman Brian Gosnell finished fourth, while Chris Stoves and Sean McCabe finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Redshirt freshman David Jankowski finished in 11th-place.
Oklahoma State travels to Joplin, Mo., on Sept. 8 to compete in the Missouri Southern Stampede.
