Mustangs Roll Past Cowgirls In Exhibition Play

Oklahoma State's soccer team was defeated in its exhibition opener against Southern Methodist University, 3-1, on Saturday at Wescott Field in Dallas.

SMU's Olivia O'Rear got the Mustangs on the board with a goal in the upper left corner at the 14:06 mark. O'Rear then quickly put the Cowgirls in a 2-0 deficit with another goal at the 21:21 mark. Jolene Schweitzer gave Oklahoma State its only score of the game at 41:35. SMU's Jill Heinemann capped off the evening with a score at 56:29.

Oklahoma State's soccer team will open the regular season on August 28 in Burlington, Vermont.
