Softball Adds Van Nortwick To Roster

Head coach Margaret Rebenar announced the addition of Dominique Van Nortwick to Oklahoma State's softball team for the 2004-05 season. Van Nortwick will join five other Cowgirl newcomers; three freshmen and two junior college transfers, this fall.

A native of San Diego, Calif., Van Nortwick comes to Oklahoma State via Michigan State and Palomar Community College. The junior-to-be played at Michigan State her freshman year, received an injury redshirt and then transferred to Palomar for her sophomore season.

At Palomar, Van Nortwick averaged .417 at the plate, knocked in 33 RBI and was named the Pacific Coast Conference Player of the Year.

“Dominique is another fine addition to a strong junior college class for the fall,” commented Rebenar. “She brings a wealth of experience to the team and with Division I playing experience she knows what it takes to compete at the highest level.”
