Woolhouse Qualifies for NCAA Championships
June 04, 2004 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State senior Jason Woolhouse finished third in the 5,000m at this weekend's Midwest Regional Championships, earning himself a birth to the NCAA Championships with a time of 14:18.
Also running in the 5,000m was junior Scott Rantall, who finished a disappointing 22nd. Rantall ran a provisional qualifying time in the 10,000m at the Stanford Invitational in March, and has a strong possibility of participating in that race at the national meet.
Redshirt freshman Ryan Ripley took an eighth-place preliminary finish into the final round of the 1,500m, but came just short of making nationals, taking 10th in 3:56.01.
The national meet will be held June 9-12 in Austin, Texas.
