Well Cowboy fans, the season is here. All the anticipation ends tomorrow with the home opener against Eastern Michigan. We have been practicing outside for the most part since January 8th . We spent the better part of last week shoveling snow off of the field so we could practice in 30-degree weather with a wind chill in the teens.
Many new names and faces are sprinkled through this year's club. We have freshmen, junior college transfers, and Division I transfers gelled with us old timers to form a unique mix of talent from many different backgrounds. It is amazing how the universal bond of baseball brought all of us together to strive towards a common goal. We are excited about playing together and the energy inside the clubhouse is phenomenal.
Congratulations to Joe Weaver, former Cowboy baseball player, on recently getting engaged. We all wish you the best. We would like to thank Henry Wells for letting us use the Whitebarn Estates to host our Winter Baseball Bash. Also, we would like to thank everyone in attendance at the Bash and we can't wait to see all our fans at the games. Lastly, since it is close to Valentines Day, I would get in trouble if I didn't say something to my valentine, “I Love You Lauren.”
“Give it all you've got. If you've paid the price, it means more.”
