Dickerson Ends Collegiate Career On Top

The event featured 12 of the top collegiate reiners from across the country. Each rider had to qualify for the event. Dickerson finished with 217.5 points.
Dickerson rode the horse “Dun Being An Okie” to the championship. The horse is out of Sulpher, Okla., and owned by Alma Liles.
The win ends an impressive collegiate career for the Las Cruces, N.M., native which includes winning the High Point Western Rider honors at the IHSA National Championships this year.
“This is a great way for Kristin to end her career,” said head coach Larry Sanchez.
Teammate Katie Bohr also had an impressive showing. The freshman finished in third place with 215 points.
“I'm proud of Katie,” said Sanchez. “The future looks very bright for the program.”
