Big 12 Announces Softball Postseason Awards

Freshman Courtney Totte led the list of Cowgirl honorees, snagging first-team All-Big 12 honors for her play behind the plate. A native of Lawton, Okla., Totte was second on the squad with a .289 batting average and 20 RBI. Her defensive play was solid as well, the freshman picked off eight players and had a .977 fielding percentage.
Senior Crystal Lee, junior Megan Carey, and freshman Jessica Hoppock were named to the All-Big 12 second-team.
Lee, a native of Vista, Calif., started 49 games for the Cowgirls and has been the anchor in right field. A product of San Diego, Calif., Carey started 49 games in left field and leads the Cowgirls with five home runs.
Hoppock has been the go-to pitcher for the Cowgirls, tossing 293.1 innings to set a new single-season record and account for 80 percent of all innings. The Haysville, Kan., native also set season records for appearances, saves and games started. Hoppock has appeared in 50 of OSU's 53 contests this spring.
Academic All-Big 12 teams were also announced with four Cowgirls making the first-team and two earning second-team honors.
First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better grade-point average, while second-team honorees are those with a 3.0 to 3.19 GPA.
First-team members are seniors Alliya Anderson and Jade Lindly and juniors Megan Carey and Stephanie Nicholson. Senior Calli Behmer and sophomore Lacy Darity earned second-team honors to round out the group.
Oklahoma State enters the Big 12 Tournament as the No. 6 seed and will face third-seeded Missouri at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
