2003 Fall Season: Teamed with Katya Kolodynska to post 3-1 record in doubles play at the Lady Razorback Invitational ... lone loss came against Market Cizova and Daniela Novakova of Texas Arlington in the finals, 9-7 ... teamed with Kolodynska to claim the UNLV Invitational title in flight one of doubles competition (2-0) ... picked up her first victory as a Cowgirl against UNLV's Lindsay Sobers, 6-1, 6-1 ... made it to the quarterfinal round of the Omni Hotels Regional Tournament doubles championship, falling to the eventual tournament champions 8-4 ... posted a 8-2 combined doubles record and a 2-6 singles record.

Before OSU: Attended the University of Maryland at Baltimore where she competed at the No. 1 Singles position ... also competed in swimming, volleyball and table tennis at Gymnazium Jana Amose Komenskeho ... was named as UMBC's Unsung Hero as well as team MVP during her sophomore and junior campaigns.

According to Coach: “Jana is more of a mystery because she was playing for a different university at a lower level. She didn't have the same competition. Over the fall she played a lot and realized that she would have to work hard. By the end of the fall she showed a lot of improvement, making us very optimistic. I know that she will try hard and really contribute for us.”
