The Cowgirls and the Beavers played to a scoreless stalemate until
The Cowgirls had their chances to score but were unable to make good on the opportunities. OSU loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth after a hit by pitch and pair of walks but Monica Hoffman struck out the final Cowgirl to preserve the shutout.
In the second game of the day Lindsey Bashor gave the Titans a 1-0 lead after one inning, blasting a two-out long ball to center field.
The Cowgirls connected for two hits in the fifth and Courtney Totte put the Cowgirls on the board with a RBI single. Calli Behmer led off the frame with a double and was replaced by pinch runner Erika Ennis. Ennis then moved to third on a sacrifice from Shanel Scott and crossed home plate on Totte's base hit.
The Titans scored one run in the bottom of the fifth, capitalizing on two hits and a pair of
Jessica Hoppock took the loss for the Cowgirls, giving up four runs, striking out five and allowing seven hits.
