Cowgirls Unable to Extend Streak

The match against the Horned Frogs (9-6, 0-1 C-USA) was called after TCU reached the necessary points for victory.
OSU (5-6, 1-2) started behind after falling in all three doubles positions. Seniors Katya Kolodynska and Jana Karaskova were close, but were defeated by No. 33 Saber Pierce and Ana Cetnik, 8-4.
TCU shutout the Cowgirls by picking up victories in the first three finished singles bouts.
At the No. 3 position, junior Ines Furtmayr fell to Pierce in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. The Frogs extended their lead by picking up a 6-1, 6-3 decision at the No. 6 slot where freshman Jennifer Poskitt fell to Paige Brown.
The match was decided at the No. 2 position where Karaskova fell to Jenn Chay, 6-2, 6-2.
Kolodynska was leading No. 39 Paty Aburto in the second set, 7-6, 3-2 before the match was called.
The Cowgirls return to action on March 27 when they face conference opponent Texas A&M at the DuBois Tennis Center at 10 a.m. The last time the two school met was the Cowgirl victory in the 2003 Big 12 Tournament finals.
