Three Cowboy Runners Set for Nationals
March 11, 2004 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
The Cowboys will be led by Senior Jason Woolhouse, who will compete in the mile. Woolhouse provisionally qualified for the national meet running the mile in 4:00.68 last week in Ames, Iowa. This time is the 11th fastest time in the nation run this year.
Also going to Fayetteville to compete is Daniel McLemore. McLemore will compete in the 60 meter dash after provisionally qualifying with a time of 6.70 seconds at the Jayhawk Invitational earlier this year.
Freshman Chris Stoves will also represent the Cowboys at the national meet. Breaking his own school record, Stoves automatically qualified in the 800 meter run, running it in 1:48.30.
The preliminary races will begin on Friday at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The finals will be held Saturday.
