Shanel Scott Named Big 12 Player of The Week

Shanel Scott, an outfielder for Oklahoma State's softball team, was named the Big 12 Softball Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the league office.
Scott, a native of Enid, Okla., hit .516 over eight games last week with two doubles and one triple. The freshman was also 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts.
Her best game of the week was a 3-for-4 outing against North Carolina with a triple and three runs scored in the 4-3 win.
Scott was one of four Oklahoma State players named to the North Texas Betlin Round-up all-tournament team last weekend. OSU won the event posting a 5-1 record.
Oklahoma State returns to action on Friday when it travels to Arizona for the Wildcat Worth Invitational.
