Cowboys Headed to District Meet
November 11, 2004 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State, coming off a disappointing third-place finish at the Big 12 meet, is looking to bounce back with a top-two finish Saturday and a guaranteed spot in the NCAA Championships. The Cowboys have been to the NCAA meet 10 of the last 11 years under head coach Dick Weis, last year's District V Coach of the Year.
“We feel really good,” coach Weis said. ”We had some good workouts this week and we are confident that if we run well, we can take this thing.”
Junior Sean McCabe, sophomores Joseph Gray, Tyler Campbell, Ryan Ripley, Brian Ehlis and redshirt freshman David Jankowski will join Rantall and Rouault. Rantall finished eighth at last year's district meet in Stillwater.
The meet is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Newman Golf Course.
