Cowboys Finish Second at Jamboree

Rantall finished eighth out of 203 runners with a time of 24:27 as the Cowboys finished a mere 12 points behind first-place Arkansas, who now has two first-place finishes on the year.
Cowboy sophomore Joseph Gray, a transfer from the University of Portland, finished 13th, David Jankowski finished14th, senior Greg Rouault finished 18th, and junior Sean McCabe finished 20th to round out the top 25 finishers for the Cowboys.
“I was very pleased with the guys performance, we had five guys finish in the top 25,” said Cowboy head coach Dick Weis. “We had two seniors and a junior out there and the rest are freshmen and sophomores, so things are definitely looking up for us.”
Also for the Cowboys, Brian Ehlis finished 30th, Ryan Ripley finished 35th, Tyler Campbell finished 37th, John Dixon finished 39th, Chris Stoves finished 45th, and Brian Gosnell finished 79th.
The Cowboys continue their season at the Chili Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Oct 16th.
