Cowboys Compete in Razorback Invitational

Matt Sharp got the action started on Friday afternoon, taking fifth in the long jump with a leap of nearly 22 feet.
Saturday's action was highlighted by senior Jason Woolhouse's victory in the 3,000m run, provisionally qualifying himself for the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 8:04.07. Also in the 3,000m, junior Scott Rantall grabbed fourth in 8:17 and Steve Greenwell claimed fifth just two seconds behind.
Sophomores Daniel McLemore and Vernon Grant ran strongly in the 60m dash, with McLemore claiming second in 6.79 seconds and Grant taking fourth in 6.96.
Chris Stoves continued his strong freshman season by running the 800m in 1:51.96, good for ninth in the 24 man field.
The Cowboys also had a pair of top 10 finishers in the mile run, led by Ryan Ripley in eight-place with a time of 4:10.73, the team's second-fastest of the season. David Pomies finished one spot behind Ripley in ninth, running the race in 4:13.09.
Oklahoma State will return to action Friday, Jan. 30 when it travels to Lawrence, Kan. for the Jayhawk Invitational.
