September 18, 2003 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
The Oklahoma State Cross Country team will go to Joplin, Mo., this weekend, to compete in the Missouri Southern Stampede.
The Cowboys will send a young squad to Missouri to compete against a large field, including teams from the University of Arkansas, and Southwest Missouri State.
Marcus Hershberger will be the lone Sophomore and will look to lead freshmen Ryan Ripley, Tyler Campbell, James Wanjiku, and Charlie Bromley along the 8K course.
This weekend is the first time the Cowboys have run in a meet since the Wichita State Gold Classic two-weeks ago, where the same group took third place. Hershberger led the Cowboys in Wichita with a 8th place finish, followed closely by Wanjiku at 9th.
