Cowgirls Down Navarro, 4-2

Oklahoma State's softball team picked up its second win of the season on Saturday at the Cowgirl Classic, defeating Navarro Junior College, 4-2, in the rain-shortened tournament.
The Cowgirls took a two-run lead thanks to four consecutive hits in the second inning. Jade Lindly started the rally and later scored on a base hit from Alliya Anderson. After moving into scoring position on a wild pitch,
A solo long ball from Navarro's Erin Crandall cut the Cowgirls lead to one but it did not last long as pair of errors by Navarro gave OSU a three-run cushion in the bottom of the fifth.
After reaching on a walk and fielder's choice, Ashleigh Tweed and Stephanie Nicholson crossed the plate on an errant throw from Navarro's left fielder to give the Cowgirls a 4-1 lead without connecting for a single hit in the inning.
Navarro added another run in the top of the sixth but it would not be enough as the Cowgirls held on for the 4-2 win.
Jessica Hoppock went the duration in the circle, giving up two runs on five hits.
The Cowgirls were scheduled to play two additional games today, but rain forced the cancellation of the event. OSU continues the fall season on Wednesday, hosting
