Cowgirls to Start Fall Season

The open-draw tournament highlights eight different teams from four different states.
'I am looking forward to playing some good matches,' said Head Coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski. 'We just started practice a few days ago and I hope our girls will do well.'
After losing four starters from last year's Big 12 Championship team, the Cowgirls will use the tournament to evaluate this year's squad.
'We are going to play Jana Karaskova and Lauren Simmons, our two new players, to see how they do,' said Lubicz-Majewski. 'Lauren has a big test because she is a true freshman and has never played on the collegiate level.'
The three-day tournament will be moved to the Dills Indoor Tennis Facility in case of inclement weather.
'I am very positive,' said Lubicz-Majewski. 'I know the girls will play hard. We will just have to see how they do.'
