Equestrian Adds Megan Rossiter to Coaching Staff
August 22, 2003 | Cowgirl Equestrian
Rossiter spent the last two years as the graduate assistant for the Cowgirls. Her duties include handling team travels along with coaching and coordinating home events.
'Since there are 60 plus girls on the team, we needed to add another coach,' Sanchez said. 'Megan adds a new dimension to the team. Her expertise and knowledge will allow us to utilize her where we need it the most.'
Sanchez, Rossiter and Assistant Head Coach Suzanne Flaig have been conducting tryouts for this years team the past couple of days.
Sixty riders have competed for 18 spots for this year's team. The 42 members from last year's team that won the AQHA Varsity National Championships do not have to try out for the team this year.
Tryouts will conclude Friday afternoon and the coaching staff will make the final decision on the new riders for the team.
