Cowboy Track Heads to Razorback Invitational
June 04, 2003 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State's men's cross country team travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas, this weekend for the Razorback Invitational. This is the third meet of the season for the Pokes.
"The Arkansas meet is always tough because it is by invitation, so the best teams get invited to compete," stated Cowboy Head Coach Dick Weis.
The Cowboys will compete on Saturday without any field-event competitors. Though OSU lacks in field points, they make up for it in outstanding, distance-running performances.
"We do well in the mile, 3,000-meter, 5,000-meter and 800-meter," said Weis.
The meet on Saturday poses a challenge for the Cowboys, but with their strong runners, the OSU squad will be tough competitors.
