Lauren Bay Named To Academic All-America Team

This is the first Academic All-America honor for the Trail, B.C., Canada, native as she was named to the all-district squad last year.
An international business major, Bay earned her third straight Verizon Academic All-District first-team selection to qualify for all-american honors and is also a three-time Academic All-Big 12 first-team honoree.
Bay was the only Big 12 player named to the first or second teams. Texas’ Cat Osterman and Kim Wilmoth of Baylor were both selected to the third-team.
The all-district and all-america teams honor student-athletes who are standouts on the field and in the classroom. To be considered for selection, the student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.
