Poke Tracksters Complete Weekend Events

Members of the Cowboy track team traveled in two directions this weekend, competing in the Cardinal Invitational in Stanford, Calif., and the UTA Open in Arlington, Texas.

Ben Lake and Daniel Voegeli competed in Stanford. Lake placed seventh in the 5,000-meter urn with a time of 14:26.32. Voegeli's time of 3:47.64 earned him 23rd place in the 1500m.

Traveling to the UTA Open were Chris McWatters, Scott Rantall and Jason Woolhouse. McWatters placed 22nd in the 1500m with a time of 4:08.04. Rantall finished the 1500m in 27th place with a time of 4:14.64. Jason Woolhouse's time of 9:16.70 gave him a second-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

The Cowboys are scheduled to compete in the Cardinal Qualifier this weekend before traveling to College Station, Texas, for the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
