Men's Track Competing Well in Joplin, Mo.

Oklahoma State's Cowboy track team competed at the Radio Shack Crossroads Invitational meet hosted by Missouri Southern Friday.

Leading the Cowboys was Edmond Nartey finishing first in the 400-meter dash and second in the 200-meters.

William Kirwa finished second (3:59.03) in the 1,500-meter run. Rene Carlsen ran a 4:05.76 and Eric Framme a 4:15.58. OSU's Elphonso Curley placed third in the 5,000-meters.

In the field events, Alex Dzitrie finished second in both the long jump and the triple jump competition jumping 21' 06.75" and 39' 05.00", respectively.

OSU's Cowboy 1500-meter relay team consisting of Jon Wild, Chuck Sloan, Brian Young, and Jeff McDaniel, will run at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.
