Track Teams to Compete at Nationals

Oklahoma State's women's track team qualified six runners for the NCAA Indoor Track Championships Mar. 7-8 in Indianapolis, Ind., while the men's team qualified one.

Cowgirls Sherita Jackson and Tracyan Baker will be competing in the 200-meter dash. They are ranked ninth and 13th respectively in the competiton. Freshman Jenny Framme qualified in the 3,000-meter run. The women's distance medley relay team of Hanna Smedstad, Baker, Andrene Thompson and Tamara Dingley ran its qualifying time of 11:25.80 last week at the U.S.A. Track & Field Championships. Only the top eleven relay teams can compete this weekend. Previously the Cowgirls were ranked 28th.

Cowboy Christopher Kebenei is the only qualifier for the men's team. He will compete in the 5,000-meter run.
