Men's Track And Field Hits The Road

The collegiate meet begins with the women's javelin at 9 a.m. Running event begin with the men's steeplechase at 1 p.m. The meet will conclude with the men's and women's discus at 3:30 p.m.
Fellow Big 12 schools Texas Tech and Texas, along with Southern Methodist, Texas Christian, Texas-Arlington and Paul Quinn College, will compete at the meet also. The invitational is hosted by Fort Worth Independent School District at Clark Stadium.
Chuck Sloan, who qualified for nationals in the 5,000-meter run last weekend, will compete in the 1,500m run, 800m run and 400m hurdles Saturday.
Nine of the 18 Cowboys heading to Fort Worth are scheduled to run in the 1,500m race, while eight are listed to compete in the 3,000m.
Lance Smith will compete in the only field event for OSU. He will participate in the long jump at 12:30 p.m.
The Cowboys will next head up to Joplin, Mo., for the Radio Shack Crossroads Invitational on April 7.
