Dickerson Places Second at NRHA

Kristen Dickerson rode to a second-place finish at the Collegiate NRHA Reining Championships this afternoon at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City, Okla. "The horse I rode was incredible," Dickerson said. "The draw I had worked out pretty well for me and I am very happy. "This helped me for next year because it helped me pin point what I need to work on in order to have a successful year." The Las Cruses, N.M., native finished third in Hunter at the IHSA nationals and now second in the Western Reining at the NRHA championships. At todays show, Dickerson was among 12 of the top reiners in the country. "She did really well," Head Coach Larry Sanchez said. "This competition brings the best horses and reiners around, and it allows us to showcase our ability ont he Western side."
