Cowgirl Softball Earns No. 2 Seed For NCAA Regional

For the first time since the 1998 season Oklahoma State’s softball team has been selected to a NCAA Regional, earning the No. 2 seed in Fullerton, Calif.

The Cowgirls (37-13) will take on eighth-seeded Boston University (33-21) at 6:30 p.m. (CST) on Thursday.

Host school, Cal State Fullerton, drew the No. 1 seed and will face eighth-seeded Rider. Other schools in the regional are No. 3 Oregon, No. 4 Louisiana-Lafayette, No. 5 San Diego State and No. 6 Penn State.

The championship game is slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday with the winner earning a berth in the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla., May 22-24.
