The competition will be held May 2-4 at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum. The Friday show will begin at 8:30 a.m., while the Saturday and Sunday shows will start at 8:00 a.m.
Oklahoma State’s Hunt team will be in the team competition after winning the regular season points competition. The Hunt team also captured the Zone 7 championships at Las Cruces, N.M on April 5th.
The Hunt team will be one of 17 teams from various zones across the country that will be competing for the team title.
“Our girls are really peaking at the right time on both the English and Western side,” said Head Coach Larry Sanchez. “I really expect great things at this competition as a team and for our individuals.”
Junior Luann Ulrich will look to repeat as a national champion. The Fairview, Okla., native will compete in the Intermediate Horsemanship division. Last year Ulrich won a national title in Team Intermediate.
Senior team captain Audrey Buck will compete in her final intercollegiate show. The Tulsa, Okla., native will be competing in Open Over Fences.
“I’m really excited about this weekend. Being a senior, this is my last intercollegiate show and I want to do well,” said Buck “I’m also excited for the girls who have never been to nationals. I think we will do very well as a team.”
