The Cowgirls had the first five competitors to cross the finish line. They were led by freshman Janine Brown who had a two mile time of 11:28.05. Brown edged her teammate Charlotte Coffey who had a time of 11:28.44. Alexandra Lindquist, Amber Stephens, and Michelle Simecka were the next three to finish.
The Cowgirls beat the Sooners with fifteen team points compared to the Sooner's 47.
The Cowboys had five of the top six to finish. Jason Woolhouse led the field with a time of 14:11.59 on the three mile course. Ben Lake and Ben Sigle were the next two to finish with times of 14:30.48 and 14:33.87 respectively. Chris Mcwatters and Jon Cordes rounded out the scoring for the Cowboys by finishing fourth and sixth respectively.
The Cowboys ran away with it by scoring sixteen points compared to the Sooners 49.
Both squads will be running in next week's Cowboy Jamboree in what will be a highly competitive field.
