Cross Country Travels To Arkansas
April 06, 2003 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
"The meet is very big with some of the best teams in the nation attending," said Weis. "The competition is outstanding with three top Division 1 teams competing and four of the top five in Division 2."
The Cowboys will face top-ranked Arkansas and fifth-ranked Iona College in Division 1 and top-ranked Abilene Christian, second-ranked Western State and third-and fourth-ranked Addams and Cal-Davis in Division 2.
"The kids are getting better," said Weis. "We will have to run very well in order to place in the top three."
Due to illness, three of the Cowboy runners did not run in the Cowboy Jamboree two weeks ago. However, everyone is expected to run at the Chile Pepper.
OSU travels to Boulder, Colo., for the Big 12 Championships on Oct. 28.
