Cowboy Harriers Take Third at Jamboree

Oklahoma State's men's cross country team took third place Saturday at the 66th annual Cowboy Jamboree at the Oklahoma State cross country course.

Arkansas repeated as team champion and 2000 champion Abilene Christian finished runner-up.

Junior Jason Woolhouse took second with a time of 23:59, placing behind Arkansas' Alistair Cragg, 5000m indoor track national champion, and besting third-place Daniel Lincoln of Arkansas, national champion in the steeplechase.

Seniors Derek Tate and Ben Sigle placed 13th and 18th respectively, and ran exceptional races according to head Coach Dick Weis. Senior Ben Lake finished 21st and junior Chris McWatters placed 33rd to round out the scoring for the Cowboys.

The Pokes will be off until Oct. 19 when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in the Chili Pepper.
