Read receives honors at AQHA World Show

Oklahoma State's Ryan Read captured the AQHA World Championship title in Showmanship and was the Reserve World Champion in Amateur Horsemanship.

The Laurel, Miss., native has a history of competing in American Quarter Horse Championships. In 2000 Read was a member of the American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup Team. Read also placed sixth in horsemanship and ninth in showmanship at the 2000 AQYHA World Show.

Read was the top youth at the American Paint Horse Associaton in 2000 and was also the back-to-back High Point Youth at the 1999 and 2000 APHA World Show. Read was also a three-time APHA World Champion in horsemanship.

Read is entering her second year as a Cowgirl and will look to continue her winning tradition this year.
