Cowboy Track Competes in Penn Relays

Rouault, already having qualified for regionals in the 10,000-meter run last month, ran a time of 14:06.30 in the 5,000-meter championship to earn his second regional birth of the season. The 5,000-meter run was also good to Scott Rantall, who won his section of the race in 14:29.75.
The distance medley relay team of Kinneth Jones, Cassidy Smith, Justin Nobles, and Derek Tate captured the victory in their section running a time of 9:49.58, while the 4x800-meter relay squad took third in its heat at 7:30.34.
Two 18th place finishes completed the lineup for the Pokes, with Ben Sigle running a time of 9:36.33 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and Trey Vernon running 30:47.30 in the 10,000-meter run.
Oklahoma State is next scheduled to compete on May 2-4 at the Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif.
