Cowgirl Netters Prepare For Run at Conference Title

The No. 35 Cowgirls (14-6, 8-3) are the conference’s fourth seeded team thanks in large part to a seven match conference win streak to close out the 2003 regular season.
Oklahoma State finished in a tie for third place with six time defending conference tournament champion Texas. The Cowgirls were dropped to the No. 4 seed due to their head to head loss against the Longhorns.
OSU will face No. 33 Oklahoma (18-5, 7-4) in a Bedlam rematch in the tournament’s second round. The Sooners are coming off of a victory over No. 12 seed Iowa State in the first round.
The Cowgirls were victorious in their only other match against their instate rivals this season, 5-2, at the DuBois Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla. OSU holds a 25-10 all-time series lead.
Oklahoma State will be looking to make a run at a share of their first conference title since the 2001 campaign. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.
