Softball Resumes Regular Season

Oklahoma State's softball team will play one final scrimmage on Wednesday before resuming the regular season at the University of Arizona Tournament this weekend.

A scrimmage originally scheduled for Tuesday against OCU has been cancelled, but the Cowgirls will be in action at Cowgirl Stadium at 3 p.m. on Wednesday against Panhandle State.

The regular season continues on Friday in Tucson, Ariz., when Oklahoma State takes on Western Michigan and second-ranked Arizona. On Saturday the Cowgirls will face New Mexico and Virginia before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday against Drake.

Oklahoma State (3-3) has been impressive so far in the young season, finishing second at the Chevron Paradise Classic after falling to No. 6 Washington in the championship game. In exhibition action the Cowgirls have easily handled their competition, posting shutouts and scoring eight or more runs in four-of-five contests.
