Lauren Bay Named Big 12 Pitcher Of The Week

Lauren Bay, a senior on Oklahoma State's softball team was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for March 17-23, the conference office announced Tuesday. It marks the third time this year that Bay has earned the honor.

The Trail, B.C., Canada, native averaged 13.5 strikeouts while throwing two complete game shutouts at Baylor last weekend. The lefty has recorded three of OSU's four conference wins and won seven straight. Bay's last loss came nearly three weeks ago against UT-Chattanooga.

The wins improved Oklahoma State's conference record to 4-0 and gives the Cowgirls sole possession of first place in the league race.

Oklahoma State (24-6) returns to action on Wednesday, hosting Tulsa for a 6 p.m. contest.
