Lauren Bay, Jade Lindly Earn Big 12 Honors

Bay fanned 15 batters and gave up just two hits en route to the shutout of second-ranked Arizona in Tucson. The Trail, B.C., Canada, lefty's win marked the first time Arizona lost in a home tournament since Feb. 5, 2000. Bay also posted double-digit strikeouts against Drake, fanning 11 in five innings work. For the week Bay went 3-0 and struck out 30 batters in 15.2 innings work.
Lindly hit .700 for the week and had two game-winning hits in Arizona, both home runs. In the win against Arizona, the Jay, Okla., outfielder had a solo long ball in the top of the sixth. Lindly followed with the game winner for the second consecutive game in the 6-1 win against New Mexico, a two-run dinger also in the top of the sixth.
Oklahoma State (9-3) has a six-game winning streak after finishing the weekend 5-0. The Cowgirls return to action on March 4, hosting UMKC for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
