High School: Placed third at World Mountain Running Championships in Sabah, Malaysia in 1999 ... Won five New Zealand national titles in one season...Was the New Zealand Junior Mens Cross Country, Road Race, and Mountain Running champion in 1999 ... Member of the New Zealand Junior Track and Cross Country team in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 ... Won the New Zealand Junior Mens 1,500m, 3,000m, and 5,000m championship in 1999 ... Won the1,500m, 3,000m and 5,000m in Arafura Games ... Was open mens champion in 1999 ... Was champion of the New Zealand Secondary Schools 1,500m and 2k steeplechase in 1998 ... Also was the provincial cross-country and road-race champion in 1996, 1997 and 1998 ... Member of New Zealand Secondary Schools cross country team in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
